The Nationals were very good for Team R.A.C.E. Ryan Roth rode to a 5th place ITT in the Elite category, along with his 5th in the Elite RR and 7th in the Elite Crit. Both Matt G. and Dave V. had solid rides in the RR. The TT course was tough and semi - technical with all the turn arounds on a short course to facilitate the distances of the different categories. The RR course was technical and selective added to that the wind on the day was very strong. The Crit was also very technical and wet for every category with the exception of the elite men. Schiller has his best race in the crit, winning the bunch for (I am not sure if it was top 10 or top 12).
The Team R.A.C.E. tandem duo of Craig and Gene were double winners of the RR and TT (no crit) and are now at the Track Nationals in Bromont. (Track nationals for juniors, masters and handisport are now, Elites are in September in Dieppe, NB). Tandems had a low turnout with only 4 tandems and 2 provinces represented. As a result, medals, no jerseys.......minimum for jerseys......5 and 3 provinces.
Ryan and Matt are in Buffalo today for the 4th of July cobblestone classic @ 2pm. Hamilton this weekend and then Jeff, Ryan, Matt and Dave are off to BC Superweek.
that is all for now.
